This section describes how Bind handles information in connection with its authenticated application and integration services (the "Application"), which are separate from the public Website.
When Bind processes data through the Application on behalf of a customer, the customer is the controller of that data and Bind acts as a processor or service provider. That processing is governed by the customer's agreement with Bind and, where applicable, Bind's Data Processing Addendum — not by this Privacy Policy. This section is provided for transparency and does not change that allocation. Bind separately processes account, administrative, security, and business-contact information for its own purposes, as described in this section and in the applicable customer agreement.
To access the Application, authorized users use accounts provisioned by Bind. In connection with those accounts, Bind may maintain information such as a user's name, business email address, username, and authentication credentials. Bind uses this information to authenticate authorized users, provide and secure the Application, communicate regarding the service, and maintain appropriate records.
The Application connects to third-party services that the customer designates and controls. To enable those connections, a customer may provide credentials, API keys, or access tokens. Bind stores and uses these solely to operate and support the Application at the customer's direction, protects them using commercially reasonable measures, and does not use them for any other purpose. These credentials are the customer's responsibility to provide and maintain.
Depending on the customer's configuration, the Application receives, transmits, synchronizes, and otherwise processes business and financial records between the systems the customer connects. These records may include accounting, workforce, project, and operational information, and may contain personal information relating to the customer's personnel, contacts, or other individuals, as determined by the customer and the systems it connects. Bind processes this data only to operate the integration the customer has configured, and does not sell it, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to develop or improve Bind's products.
Bind maintains commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data processed through the Application. Bind may temporarily store customer data and maintain integration logs as reasonably necessary to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and support the Application. Bind retains customer data only as provided in the applicable customer agreement and Data Processing Addendum. Following termination of the applicable services, customer data in Bind's active systems is deleted within a reasonable post-termination period, and data in backup systems is deleted through Bind's ordinary backup-retention cycle, subject to any retention required by applicable law.
Questions or requests concerning this Privacy Policy or Bind's handling of personal information may be sent to Bind Data LLC at privacy@trybind.com.
